Brandzel’s showcase included a two-run double extending the Pirates early lead. When asked about his approach during that third inning at bat, he said “I was just trying to put the barrel on the ball, keeping my same approach”.

Center fielder Dan Laughery again had himself a night, going two for five and throwing out a runner tagging from third at home.
