The VC Pirates took a 10-2 win against the Arroyo Seco Sentinels on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Brookside Park.

The Pirates got down to 2-0 after the second inning. The momentum took a shift after a homerun by Dan Laughery, t to get the Pirates on the board. The change really happened after a 3 RBI triple from Andrew Buglino in the sixth.

The other momentum shift was the pitching by the Pirates; which was markedly improved from the ngh before. Xavier Stoker and Daniel Parra led the way, Stoker went two scoreless innings pitched and Parra went three innings pitched giving up no earned runs.

Eli Paton and Angelo Aleman emerged as the players of the game, both playing at their high school field. Paton went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. While Aleman went 2 for 3 with a stolen base. When asked about what he felt to be back at this stadium Paton said “it felt really nice to be back here, I’ve had some good memories here.” Aleman agreed with his teammate and said that it was “a great team win”.
