Webmaster Intern

The Ventura County Pirates Baseball Club, a collegiate wood bat summer baseball team playing games at Los Angeles Valley College, in Los Angeles, California, seeks interns with working knowledge and understanding of website building and maintenance. The Pirates Baseball Club is looking for qualified interns to update and maintain our team website to inform fans and family of players of the day-to-day activities of the teams of the VC Pirates Baseball Club and overall promote each team on our website.

 

This position does not require regular attendance at home and/or road games, (from June through early August) applicants can create a hybrid work schedule of attendance at some home games and work from home. It will also require updating information on all 3 of our teams on the team website.


Candidates chosen for this position will work within a team atmosphere with all other staff members that would be contributing content needing to be published on the team website.

Duties for the Webmaster intern will consist of, but not be limited to:

 

Responsibilities:
•    See to it that the team website is update on a daily basis with pertinent team information
•    Create a schedule and work relationship with other content contributing staff members
•    Work in conjunction with social media staff members to promote Pirates activities on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter
•    Adhere to standards and practices put forth by Pirates management

 

Requirements
•    Knowledge of Twitter, Instagram, TikTok & Facebook platforms
•    Working knowledge of Wix.com and Canva Pro (for content creation)
•    Good organizational skills
•    Good team player with great attitude
•    Ability to work in fast-paced environment

Compensation
•    Stipend - $300.00
•    College students can earn college credit. Accepted interns need to pre-arrange with their respective academic departments at their college/university to ensure a specific internship opportunity meets academic credit requirements.
•    Meals – Interns will have meals provided when on the road traveling with players.
•    Attire – Interns will be provided with team logo apparel to wear at games.
