The Pro-Am Bucs dominated their doubleheader against the Arroyo Seco Sentinels, sweeping both games at Los Angeles Valley College on Sunday, June 18th. With a 7-2 record heading into the games, the Bucs aimed to extend their winning streak and solidify their position in the league.
Game 1 Score: 1-3
In the first game of the doubleheader, the Bucs emerged victorious 3-1. It was a relatively low-scoring affair, but the Bucs secured the win through strong pitching and clever play. They scored two runs in the third inning, capitalizing on smart base running. The offensive output was led by Troy May, who recorded the sole hit for the Bucs, displaying his ability to deliver when it matters most. Tucker Panarisi also made his presence felt, showcasing his patience at the plate with two walks and his speed with a stolen base.
On the defensive side, the Bucs relied on pitcher Moses Escobedo. He commanded the mound, baffling the Sentinels' hitters with his pitch repertoire. Rider Gordon's clutch performance with an RBI and a double highlighted the Bucs' depth and ability to put points on the board regardless of circumstance.
Pitcher Noah Onoye played a crucial role in the victory in the second game.
