Bucs Dominate Late Innings to Secure Win against Sentinels



After a thrilling and intense contest, the Pro-Am Bucs emerged victorious against the Arroyo Seco Sentinels with a final score of 9-8. The game, held on Saturday July 8th at Los Angeles Valley College, was a great example of the Bucs' grit and perseverance as they withstood their opponents' early offensive onslaught. The Bucs secured the win with two crucial runs in the bottom of the 9th inning to overcome the deficit.


Star players shone brightly, making significant contributions to secure the win for the Bucs. Carson Panarisi showcased his plate skills, performing impressively for the Bucs. He notched a run and two well-executed doubles. Brodie Romero, known for his versatility, had an outstanding game. With one run, two hits, and three RBIs, Romero proved to be a crucial offensive force for the Bucs. His standout moment came in the form of a majestic home run. He launched the ball over the outfield wall and electrified the crowd with his power. His impressive skill and clutch performance played a key role in the team's victory over the Sentinels. Catcher Connor Bell exhibited exceptional skills both behind the plate and with the bat. He contributed one run, two hits, and three RBIs to the Bucs' victory. Bell made solid contact with the ball, driving it into the gaps and providing key hits to score runs and propel the team to success.


These standout performances from Panarisi, Romero, and Bell played a pivotal role in the Bucs' triumph, contributing significantly to the team's overall success.


On the pitching front, the Bucs' bullpen faced some challenges, issuing 12 walks during the game. However, Noah Onoye's solid performance on the mound earned him the win. In his three innings of work, he faced just 12 batters, allowing two hits, one run, and striking out one.


Noteworthy statistics reflect the Bucs' dominance in multiple areas, including a high number of stolen bases (6) and a strong hitting performance with 13 hits. The Sentinels, on the other hand, struggled to capitalize on their opportunities, leaving 12 runners on base.


The game's flow saw the Sentinels take an early lead, scoring runs in the first, third, and fourth innings. The Bucs fought back with a three-run surge in the fourth inning, closing the gap. The Sentinels added two more runs in the fifth, but the Bucs responded with a run in the sixth to keep the game within reach. The pivotal moment arrived in the seventh inning when the Bucs rallied with a three-run surge, tying the game at 7-7. In a nail-biting finish, the Sentinels scored a run in the ninth, but the Bucs came back and tallied two runs in the bottom of the inning to secure the thrilling victory.


With this win against the Sentinels, the Bucs improve their season record to 17-5, further solidifying their position as a top contender. The team's next game is scheduled for Monday July 10th at 4pm against the LA Legends at Los Angeles Valley College. Fans can anticipate another exciting matchup as the Bucs continue their Pro-Am League quest.
